Ethereum Blockchain as a Service (EthBaaS) on MS Azure

Essentially the idea is to allow people to develop DApps on the cloud - 'incubating disruption'. I think this is a good example of how existing players are trying to jump on the train - we will see more of this. Leveraging existing ecosystems with the distributed paradigm is a promising avenue, imo.

• Interview with Marley Grey of Microsoft at DEVCON1 in London. Unfortunately the interview lasts only for 4 minutes instead of 10 due to a techno-glitch, but few interesting ideas slipped through:
  • Azure runs ethereum nodes, therefore you can test how your DApp runs without installing nodes yourself;
  • There is a possibility to run private testchains for testing DApps without going to the main blockchain (it seems so);
